Austin Ranch Softball Dominates

The Austin Ranch Softball competitive coed team won first place in the City of Plano Tournament of Champions on Saturday, November 14th at Heritage Yards in Plano. The Tournament of Champions is an invitational tournament open only to teams that won a tournament or won their league during the 2009 season. The team won 5 games including the decisive championship game 14 – 13 in extra innings.

Austin Boulevard and Green Efforts

Billingsley Company has taken significant strides in order to make Austin Boulevard, our newest development (pics below), our most eco-friendly project yet.
A partial list can be found below. Look for a complete list in the upcoming issue of The Pages, to be printed in 2-3 weeks
• Recycling program for all neighborhoods within Austin Ranch
• Preserving green space and incorporating existing trees
• Following and exceeding city energy codes for building construction
• Conserving water by using our own watering well at Lake Connell
• Using environmentally friendly paint and other building materials
• Installing lighting retrofits, energy-saving faucets, automatic light sensors and HVAC systems

Halloween Party Recap

A good time was had by all the little ghosts and goblins of Austin Ranch who came out for the annual Halloween party Friday night. See below for a few pics of the event. Special thanks to all who came out and helped coordinate and decorate for the event.

Wish100 Bicycle Rally Recap

On Saturday, October 3rd we had between 1350-1400 registered riders come out for the Wish100 Bicycle Rally! It blew our expectations of the inaugural year out of the water! See below for photos from this great event. Thank you to all the riders who pledged to help Make-A-Wish Foundation!

Make-A-Wish bicycle rally comes through Austin Ranch 10:30am-12:30pm on Saturday, October 3rd.

Bring your friends and family out to the patios of Zen and Cafe Gecko to cheer the riders on!

What?  Bicyclists raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and will be riding 100K or 10, 30 and 45-60 mile routes. The riders on the 60-mile ride will come up Windhaven hill where a rest stop will be set up for them to stop and take a break.
When? Saturday, October 3rd.
Where? Austin Ranch, Windhaven & Saintsbury intersection 10:30am – 12:30pm.
Why? The riders have pledged to help Make-A-Wish Foundation grant wishes for children battling life-threatening medical conditions. What an awesome cause!

Cowboys vs. Giants

OK, we don’t have Jerry’s punt-blocking Jumbo Screen, but you can come out and watch the game at the Dry Creek Lodge this Sunday, September 20th. The game starts at 7 (like you didn’t know). There will be a drawing for Cowboys giveaways, and free munchies! See you on the deck in front of the Big Screens. Cowboys attire greatly encouraged.
